Foaled in Oklahoma in 1969, the great chestnut stallion was sired by the thoroughbred Lucky Bars (a Three Bars son) and was out of Glamour Bars, herself a double-bred Three Bars mare. Even as a yearling, the stocky and muscular Impressive caused a stir in the Quarter horse world. He won countless halter championships throughout his life and became a very successful sire. For decades, it was a given that Impressive-bred horses would win any halter competition under any judge who had a chance to evaluate them!
